[The well-wishers certainly aren't lining up to check on his condition, that much is for certain. Petrana has the dubious honour of being the first.

There is a requisite amount of egotism, I believe, in pushing oneself forward - unfortunately in those who do, it is not always well balanced with skill or thoughtfulness.

But it is, in a manner of speaking, for what I was groomed.

( And there is no shortage of work for the hands able to do it - as he knows. As he has found. As welcome as he isn't, to most, the Inquisition is not in a position to turn him away. )
